Although we love taking visitors out for Cumberland Falls Paddleboard and Moonbow Adventures, we will not be offering Cumberland Falls tours this season. At this time, we simply do not have enough staff to handle the travel and logistics that those tours require. However, we are happy to recommend Sheltowee Trace Adventure Resort to those interested in visiting Cumberland Falls. They have some great tour options that are definitely worth checking out!
Feel the awesome power of nature as you paddle up to a 62-foot waterfall! Kentucky’s impressive Cumberland Falls is known as the Niagara of the South. It’s one of the largest waterfalls in the eastern U.S—and the most beautiful if you ask us.
On your adventure, you’ll pose for a picture in front of this natural wonder, visit nearby Eagle Falls, and take a swim in the splash pool. This adventure will get your heart racing!
This adventure takes place at Cumberland Falls State Park. You can park in the big parking lots by the visitor center. Pass through the visitor center and you will see the falls down to your left; this is the first overlook. You will want to go past the falls to the Moonbow Trail signs, which will take you past another overlook and then down to the beach below the falls. Look for the paddle boards on the huge beach. Combine a stunning waterfall and a rare natural phenomenon and you get a moonbow paddle at Cumberland Falls. At 62 feet high, Cumberland Falls is an impressive sight during the day, but it’s even more magical under a full moon. This is the only site in the Western Hemisphere where a waterfall’s mists create a rainbow in the moonlight. Get ready to be awestruck on this unforgettable evening adventure.
