THE SUP KENTUCKY EXPERIENCE:
We strive to create unique, amazing adventures that are beginner-friendly and challenging all at the same time. Our guide to client ratio is never more than 6:1 meaning you will always have an experienced, skilled guide available if and when you need them. From April to October we operate in Kentucky and November to March we travel. Each year we take two international trips – One is always to Mexico and the second trip will change each year.
PLAN YOUR NEXT EPIC ADVENTURE
Our weekend and international adventures are not mainstream or crowded, you can do that on your own. We work really hard to partner with other awesome companies to give you an awesome vacation that is always off the beaten path.
-
Prior to arrival, you will receive a travel guide with a recommended gear list as well as any other information that pertains to your individual adventure.
-
Water shoes, booties, or tennis shoes are great options. You can go barefoot on the board but should ideally have a hard-soled shoe for walking, climbing on rocks, and exploring on land.
-
Please arrive 15 to 30 minutes prior to your scheduled ticket time, and be sure to have your waivers completed ahead of time if possible.
-
Yes and no. We pride ourselves on offering adventures that will push you outside of your comfort zone but that can always be done with no previous experience. However, some of our international travels, such as Norway, include expedition-style adventures. Please review the detailed itineraries to understand the physical demands before committing.
-
We recommend that children be 12 and older unless they are athletes or born adventurers. We have learned that children often lose interest in our adventures and aren’t always capable of keeping up. But with that said, we are also parents and we know that some kids no matter their age can and will do anything and everything with a happy heart. If your child is under 12, we recommend you contact us to discuss participation.
For adults, age is just a number. As long as you feel you can meet the physical demands of the adventure, come on!

No. We are an outdoor adventure company, and as such Mother Nature is in charge. We never know what she will throw at us. Oftentimes, she loves to shake it up overnight.
We always keep an eye on the weather but do not bank on predictions. Changes can happen 12 hours out. What’s nature. Most of our trips happen exactly as planned, but please be flexible and understand Mother Nature is in control, not us.
Your safety is our primary concern. We do not venture out until we know it is safe to do so. There are no exceptions. We are the professionals, and we make the call.
Our itineraries are dynamic, and we always have a backup plan or alternatives in mind to ensure you get the best value for your trip. Rest assured we will adventure when it is safe to do so—rain or shine. Keep in mind that the weather won’t always be perfect, but the experience will leave you with a deeper respect for Kentucky and its beauty.

We specialize in small-group experiences and limit our trips to 4-12 participants, depending on which adventure you choose. You can find the maximum group size listed at the top of each adventure description. For private group trips, we can accommodate up to 30 people.

Yes. When a trip sells out, you’ll be able to add yourself to the waitlist. The waitlist requires all of the same information as a regular booking, including a credit card to keep securely on file.
If a spot opens up, we email the first person on the list. If they want the spot, we confirm and then run the card on file. If this person passes, we move to the next on the list.
NOTHING HAPPENS AUTOMATICALLY. We don’t run your card or add you to the trip without reaching out to you first for confirmation.

Yes! We are a small company for a reason, and we will do our best to accommodate you. We charge a single supplement fee if we are unable to pair you with a lodging partner or you just dig your alone time and privacy. Several of our adventures are exclusive to women only. On those, we do not charge single occupancy fees. Instead you’ll share lodging with other ladies.
